Mark Oakes

CEO of Concentric Security

Mark, the CEO and founder of Intellimar, Inc., along with its subsidiaries, Concentric Security and Blue Ember Technologies, is a highly regarded Physical Security Professional (PSP) with over 30 years of experience in physical security project planning, design, and construction. Recognized nationally for his expertise in safeguarding facilities against threats and his knowledge in strategic planning and business development within the security sector, Mark has contributed significantly to the field through numerous articles and regular speaking engagements. He consults extensively with industry peers and federal agencies.

As Chairman of the ASTM International Committee E54 on Homeland Security Applications, Mark leads 466 members in addressing standards and guidelines for homeland security, also chairing the E54.91 strategic planning subcommittee. Additionally, he is actively involved with ASIS International, the Society of American Military Engineers, the Construction Specifications Institute, and the Coalition for Government Procurement. Mark holds advanced degrees in accounting/finance and an M.B.A. from Auburn University.

His leadership has earned numerous accolades, including the Maryland Ernst & Young Business Services Entrepreneur of the Year, the Baltimore Future 50 Award, and placement on the INC 500 list of fastest-growing companies in 2004 and 2005. Throughout his career, Mark has held key marketing, sales, and executive positions at Norment Industries and was the President of Mistral Security, demonstrating a consistent track record of excellence and innovation in the security industry.
