Concentric Security was contracted to furnish and install 16 new crash rated electric bollards and replacement of the ellipse driveway. Work included removing existing hydraulic bollards and pumping units and replacing with motor driven bollards and electrical control panels. A new snow melt system was installed as well as new bollard control pushbutton stations. New touchscreen controls were installed in the security control center via fiber optic interface to the bollards. Work was performed in off hours to minimize noise and disruption to the Department of State.
